Hillside garden with fire pit

A large sloping block with a long set of steps down the bank, a winding crushed granite path edged with boulders, a fire pit with stone seats and new lawn near the house.

The block falls away from the back of the house towards open country. Near the house there is a level lawn with a timber edge, which gives a flat area to use and keeps the view open.

From the lawn, a long set of steps runs down the bank to a crushed granite path. The path curves along the bottom of the slope, edged with boulders, and opens out into a fire pit area with two stone seats.

The bank itself is mulched and planted. As the plants grow they will cover the slope and help hold the soil.
